"The object of this work is to give a brief and popular account of the Smithsonian Institution, its founder, its Secretaries, Professors Henry and Baird, and of the National Museum in its charge." 78 pp. Original paper wraps are very well worn and aged. Covers are dirt-smudged, edges are chipped, spine is torn and partially exposed, front lower corner is missing, back top corner is folded and creased. Interior pages have dirt-smudges, some are foxed, some pages are chipped/torn, and paged edges are browning/dirty. Overall the document in Good condition.. Wraps. Good. Illus. by Plates. Size: Approx. 5 3/4" x 9 1/4". Smithsonian.
