About This Item

Vancouver: The Author, 1960. (CAD) No markings, Fine; no dust jacket as published. Turquoise cloth, 381pp. Errata printed to the rear end paper. Line drawings and several B&W illustrations. Printed by Evergreen Press. This is a book on the reading of human character from their faces and head and dispenses advice on everything from first impressions to math skills. Here is a tidbit from "The Home of Love": The physiognomical sign of Love of Home has its sign in the length and fullness of the red part of the lower lip. A person with this sign desires to have a home, a room, a place of his own, finds this home, however humbel, the place sweetest, and nearest heaven, and is liable to homesickness when absent." The author also says that the size of the cerebellum is the measure of the prominence or deficiency of Love. (2.1 JM HOQ 102/3. Hardcover. Fine/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾".

About JWMah

JWMah has been selling out-of-print, used and rare books on the Internet since 1997. Our stock consists of a good balance of fiction and non-fiction books in a wide range of subjects. We also sell classical Lp records. Our Cookbooks, Canadiana, Travel and Exploration catalogues are worth a look. We examine each book that we sell and try our best to grade the books conservatively. We are strictly an internet business, so usually the books put up for sale are in stock. We try update our books every two days so that our listings are as fresh as possible. It is best to contact us by e-mail or by telephone to reserve a book, as some books sell quickly. We are located in Canada's westcoast and we ship internationally.
