Octavo, 304pp. Blue boards over maroon cloth spine, silver title on spine. Publisher's dust jacket, $3.95 on front flap, some chipping at spine, shelf wear. Illustrated maps on endpapers. Inscribed by Israeli diplomat and politician, Abba Eban: "To the Hon. Alvin M. Bentley, with best wishes. Abba Eban." Alvin M. Bentley (1918-1969) made national news when he was injured in the 1954 United States Capitol shooting by four Puerto Rican nationalists, advocating for the independence of Puerto Rico from US rule. He was the most seriously injured of the five people who were shot.
