Oxford: The Limited Editions Club, 1952. Limited Edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/Fine. Rene Ben Sussan. 4to. Pp. xxv, 163. Introduction by Louis Kronenberger. Illustrated throughout with amusing color prints that were then colored by stencil. Bound in a sienna linen over linen on which a repeating, organic pattern has been lithographed, spine stamped in gilt. Book with original dust jacket. Housed in the original slipcase, design matching the cover of the book and featuring a printed paper title label on the spine. Number 1193 of an edition limited to 1,500 copies. Signed by the Ben Sussan on the colophon. Fine in a Fine dust jacket, slipcase showing uniform fading and wear. With LEC Monthly Newsletter laid-in, along with the one-page prospectus. Book design by Francis Meynell. The book is a superb copy, the dust jacket and slipcase having served it well.
