J. M. Dent & Sons Ltd, 1939. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1939. First Published in GB. 290 pages. No dust jacket. This is an ex-Library book. Black cloth. Former hospital library copy, with plate to front pastedown and card pocket to rear. Black and white photographic plates throughout, all present as expected. Binding remains firm. Pages have light tanning and foxing throughout. Plates are bright and clear, with some light tanning and foxing to edges. Occasional small brown liquid marks to margins, with notable liquid stains to pp3-10 not affecting the text. Previous owner's inscription to front endpaper. Small modern sticker to front pastedown. Boards have light shelf-wear with corner bumping. Light tanning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Splits to spine ends causing cloth to be frayed. Light mottling and several small pale marks overall. Gilt is bright.
