Half red morocco spine with textured cloth boards. 4 raised bands and gilt particulars to spine. All edges gilt; moire endpapers. 117 sur blanc woodcuts, 6 hors texte chromolithographs with tissue guards, and 15 hors texte diagrams and/or maps throughout. French text throughout. No previous owner's names or other markings. Some spotting and foxing to pages, primarily at beginning and end, whereas the middle is primarily bright and clean. 612 pp. 7 1/2 x 10 3/4 inches.
