'Second Edition with an Index'. Fair condition. Contemporary tree calf over boards, gilt stamped nautical designs and titles on spine. Front cover lacking; rear cover separating; spine leather intact is somewhat brittle with some chipping; text block is tightly bound; interior is generally clean and good to very good condition; some faint staining and some offsetting from plates. 33 plates present in total, including frontispiece and preliminary fold-out general map. Apart from offsetting, all plates in Good to Very Good condition but one fold-out has a 2 inch closed tear at fore edge. 4to (27 cm), 411 pp; index; illustrated.
