Hardback, 1914, first edition, published by John Murray, London, with tipped in note of errata. Illustrated, with portrait frontispiece, 4 coloured plates, 28 pages of half-tone illustrations (mostly from photographs taken by members of the 'Terra Nova' expedition) facsimile and map showing the British Antarctic Expedition 1910-13 track chart of main southern journey.
Considerable signs of wear. Pictorial front board and spine, with much fading, scuffing, tearing and edge-wear. Corners bumped and a little torn. Binding holding but outer and inner hinges cracked. Map has a tear. Page edges browned. A number and scribble on front pastedown. The odd creased page corner. A little foxing to endpapers. Apart from the odd mark page surfaces are clean, with no underlining, marginalia, etc. See pictures for further information.
