Maroon imitation leather, gilt lettering on front cover and spine, 8vo, 451 pp. Biography of William Dempster Hoard, Wisconsin politician and publisher of Hoard's Dairyman. Signed by the author on ffep, and inscribed at top of ffep: "To Bill Riddle with appreciation for thirteen years of service. Mary Hoard, Jan 23, 1985." Mary Hoard was the wife of William D. Hoard Jr. No marks in book, binding tight. Several pages creased at top. In a dust jacket that shows minor edge wear, one 1/2" closed tear bottom front panel. Book condition VG in VG- DJ.
