About This Item
Paris: Assouline. Near Fine. [2004]. Unstated edition. Hardcover. (pictorial boards; no dust jacket, probably as issued) [nice copy, some rubbing to covers and slight bumping to base of spine]. (color and B&W photographs) Fancy-schmancy promotional book showcasing the work of photographer/makeup creator Damien Dufresne. As described on his website, this is "a beauty book conceived like an artistic proposition: Damien Dufresne creates the make-up, draws, and reinvents. He plays with color, associates them, superimposes them, and creates a resplendent showcase for them." The text is in French, English, and Chinese, and the book includes a DVD, in a pocket on the rear endpaper; it's imprinted "France," so I can't guarantee it will play correctly on American DVD players, should you still have one of those. [NOTE: The actual book does not have those strange vertical lines on the cover; these appear on the scanned image only.] ***Additional shipping charges for this heavy book will apply for non-U.S. customers; please inquire before placing your order.*** .
