Chicago, New York: George M. Hill Company, 1900. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. Small 8vo. 440 pages. First Edition. With the calling card of the author attached to the front paste down, he notes in pencil, "With Best Wishes of". Previous owner's names on the front free end paper. Included is a three page copy of a 1901 letter from the previous owner of the book to the author thanking him for the book, but then going on to criticize the book. Letter has edge wear. The book has some edge and corner wear. Interior is mainly clean except for small stains on six pages. A very scarce first edition.
