New York: Random House, (1973)., (1973).. Fair. SIGNED BY EDWARD HOAGLAND - Octavo, green boards backed with dark green cloth in a dust wrapper. There is yellow staining to the bottom edge of the front cover and to the top & bottom edges of the rear cover. There is staining to the tail of the dust jacket's spine & to the edges of both its panels along the spine. The jacket is stained green internally. Half-title, title, [3] leaves, 340 & [1 ] pages. The edges of the book are foxed. There is a small area of green staining to the top end of each hinge. Good reading copy.

First edition.

Signed in full by Edward Hoagland on the front endpaper.

Essays by an author who divides his time between Manhattan's West Village and exploring the New England wilderness while living on a broken-down farm in Vermont, twenty miles from the Canadian border.
