A collection of black and white photographs all taken in and around the Wall Street area of New York City with the images having echoes of Ray Metzker, Paul Strand, and Harry Callahan. A very good copy in wrappers from the library of the Visual Studies Workshop with their sticker shadow to the front cover, a sticker to the verso of the rear cover, and rubberstamp and notation to the copyright page. Signed by Gatewood on the title page and with a laid in short note presenting this book to Joan Lyons who along with her husband was the founder of the Visual Studies Workshop. Woodstock, NY: Sun in Scorpio Press. 1984. First edition. First edition. Hardcover issue. Signed by the author. Oblong quarto. Publisher's original black cloth over boards with title lettering in silver to upper panel. Light rubbing to the extremities but certainly a near fine copy, the binding square and firm, the contents clean throughout and without previous owner's inscriptions or stamps. With an introduction by A. D. Coleman. Limited edition of 700 copies, around 550 of which were issued in paperback.
