The prints are arranged chronologically and divided into four stylistic periods: Early Etchings, 1883-1894, Catalogue Numbers 1-37, Experiments in Technique, 1905-1914, Catalogue Numbers 38-66, The Carfax Series, 1915, Catalogue Numbers 67-99, and Late Etchings, 1916-1930, Catalogue Numbers 100-118. Each period is described along with a description of each print and a background text for many of them.
