(xii), 261, (3); (xii), 268, (2) pp. Uniformly bound in 19th century straight grain dark green half morocco over marbled boards, spines with gilt ruled wide raised bands, gilt lettered direct to two panels, all edges gilt, the early engraved bookplates of a Robert Hindley, Junior. The first work with 51 plates after drawings by Cattermole, Cox and Creswick including frontispiece, second engraved title with vignette, two further vignettes and 47 full page plates; the second with 48 plates after drawings by Cox, Harding, Creswick, Watson and others including frontispiece, second engraved title with vignette, two further vignettes, 42 full page views and two full page maps. First published in 1836.
