Dated from the British Library. Illustrated with frontispiece, title vignette, contents vignette, list of plates vignette, and forty-four plates. Collated complete. A collection of travel writing from walks and wanderings in South Wales, from Aberystwyth to Tenby and Swansea. With commentary on Welsh cottages, cathedrals and churches, castles, mountains, the Bristol Channel, and the scenery of the River Wye. Written by Thomas Roscoe, an English author and translator. Illustrated with engravings by Radclyffe, from drawings by Cox, Harding, Fielding, Creswick, and Watson. Rebacked in burgundy cloth. Externally, sound with rubbing and light bumping to the extremities. Fading to the boards and spine. Light fraying to the head of the spine. Marks to the board, with a tide mark to the rear board. Front hinge failed. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light scattered spotting predominantly to the first and last few pages. Tide marks to some of the plates. Good Only
