Hardcover published by Simon & Schuster, 1959. This is a Book club edition. The story of Trevor Jamieson, a Scientist who has to formulate a last chance defense against the threat from the alien race known as the Rull. Gray colored hardcover boards, with the author name and title imprinted on the spine in red. Cover boards are flat, the corners are not bumped, there is a bump mark though on the bottom edge f the back cover board. The red colored top-stain on the top edge of the text block does not appear to be faded. The dust jacket is protected with a clear, removable jacket. Jacket has a 1" long chip on the head of the spine and a 1/4" chip at the heel. No former ownership marks, no writing on the text pages. Not a library discard. Attached photo is of the copy we have in our inventory.

(1942), The Second Solution (1942), The Sound (1950), The Green Forest (1949), The Rull (1948), and Repetition (1940) (a.k.a. The Gryb).
