Views glued to front and rear pastedowns and rear flyleaf, rear pastedown and flyleaf, rear inner hinge cracked, extremities badly worn. Originally bound in three quarter red leather and marbled boards, the backstrip has been replaced with green cloth with embossing. A good working copy as is, but probably should be rebound, since it is a scarce book. See Rader 473 and Wagner-Camp 272a:1. The book is dedicated to the author's friend, Kit Carson..
