Edinburgh: T. C. & E. C. Jack., 1915. First Edition . Cloth. Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Blue cloth binding, with WW1 battleship on the front cover. Chipping at the top of the spine, faded and rubbed on the spine, slight spine lean towards the front cover, hinges secure and in reasonably good order. Bright internally, light toning and marking, frontispiece fore-edge slightly rough and with a couple of small, low visibility spot repairs on the reverse, small minor nick to the corner margin of another plate. Pages; X, 297, (1). Contains 16 sheets of plates + frontispiece (checked as per plate list)+ 12 full page woodcut illustrations in the text. A history of the warship, upto the present time, including a 20 page section, on catching Arab slavers. (first edition, originally Published 1 Jan 1915).
