Polonia Publishing House, 1963. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Good/Fair. BILINGUAL EDITION ENGLISH-POLISH. 157 pages, of which ~60 are text - introduction and discussion first in Polish, then in English; followed by 95 pages of b&w photos by various photographers, including 70 pages of dramatic before-and-after photos of locations in Poland's demolished capital. Introduction by Polish journalist (and later non-Communist MP) Karol Malcuzynski. Includes table of population and employment restoration and facilities rebuilt in 1945-60, plus plans for 1965. Small square book (~6-1/2" square), gray cloth with age toning, darker gray printed lettering, end papers printed with layout map of Warsaw, cocked, minimal shelf wear, edges and page margins age-toned, paperclip stain to Polish title page. DJ is moderately soiled and heavily worn, with 3/4" chip at heel, smaller chips elsewhere, clear-tape repair along spine where it had disintegrated. Pages unmarked.
