London: Ernest Nister, 1900. Hardcover. Good +. Dixon, Arthur A.. Octavo, green cloth boards with very attractive coloured decorations on front and spine, water babies riding on fish and gilt titles. Boards with bevelled edges. All edges gilt. 336pp with 6 full page colour plates, 11 full page monochrome plates and numerous black & white vignettes throughout the text by Arthur Dixon. Tear to spine at top rear, some other edge wear at spine and corners. Some marking to rear board. Pictorial blue endpapers. Binding cracked inside at front endpapers, a couple of minor tears and chips and very occasional marking. Generally very good and clean inside. Undated circa early 1900s.
