Intriguing design at cover of what appears to be two hands held together upwards as in praying with similar feathered wing pattern emanating from wrists and surrounding. Frontispiece plate by Knapp: "The Passing Glory of the Red Man: I can see them every night as the shades of evening fall; I can see the young braves dash across the sky hunting the buffalo, or floating in their beautiful canoes down the river of stars." Fine glassine page guard with unique patterned web effect. Pages good; some with underscore, accent, bracketing. Bind good, square; hinges intact. Antiquarian ephemeral leaflet set in with one side containing details for Hall Publishing Company and over containing portrait in bluish tint of young Manly. Table of Contents: "Nature's Homage; The Maker of Gods; The Master of the Blue Cape; The Face of Christ; The Guardian of the Light; The One Who Turned Back; The Glory of the Lord; and, The Last of the Shamen." List of Illustrations: "The Passing Glory of the Red Man; The Hand of the Youthful Hunter is Stayed; The Shining Figure Spread Its Wings and Soared Upward Toward the Light; A Tall Figure Wrapped in the Folds of a Blue Cloak Stood Beside Him; Raising the Hem of the Flowing Garment, the Aged Man Reverently Kissed It; From the Ancient Lamp Streamed Rays of Many Colors; The Master Stood Bathed in the Light of the Divine Presence; Between the Wing sof the Kneeling Cherubim Appeared the Flaming Pressence of Jehovah."
