Cassell, London, 1975. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good Condition/Good. Illustrator: Photographic & Illustrations. Introduction by author, illustration sources and index. Photographic end pages, showing ancient archers. The text is illustrated with colour and black-and-white photographs and the occasional black-and-white illustrations. Pale yellow coloured boards with dark red coloured titles to the back strip. Photographic dustwrapper with black and red coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. Title says it all. Minor rubbing of the book edges and bumping to the top book corners. Age toning of the text block edges. Rubbing of the dustwrapper edges and panels with sunning, most profoundly on the back strip, of the dustwrapper. Stain to the top left hand corner of the front panel and there is a 1 inch tear to the lower left hand corner of the same panel. Some browning and staining to the verso.
