The protagonist George 'Monk' Webber is intended to reflect him. Webber moves away from a small Southern town to New York City where he finds himself.Includes an introduction by J. B. Priestly.Thomas Wolfe was an American novelist of the early twentieth century. In the original publisher's cloth binding and unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, excellent. The dust wrapper is slightly worn to the extremities with a few small chips. There is some minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with the very occasional spot. Near Fine
