Thomas Wolfe (1900 - 1938) was an American novelist of the early twentieth century. He wrote several big novels (Look Homeward Angel [1929], Of Time and the River [1935]; THE WEB AND THE ROCK [1939: published postumously--precursor to You Can't Go Home Again]), as well as many short stories, dramatic works, and novellas.
