Written by George F McCracken, PhD, FASG, FAAR; Professor, Drake University; Editor, The American Genealogist. 1970. 660 pages, with index. "[A] study of all the individuals or families for whom passage on the ship Welcome, with William Penn [1682], has ever to our knowledge been claimed, together with as assessment of the claim as proven, disproven, probable or improbable." Very Good hardcover, full bound in green cloth covers with somewhat faded gilt lettering to the spine. Clean inside and out except for small neat previous owner's name in ink to lower inside front cover. Binding is solid and square. Excellent genealogical resource for earliest European settlers of Pennsylvania.
