About This Item

Hardcover. 1st Edition. 1942, 335pp. Ex-lending library, with stamp on first free endpaper, and no outer markings, light wear and soiling, else G. The writing team of Isabel McMeekin and Dorothy Park Clark often used Louisville as a setting for their novels. This novel is about the central character Mary Louise Nelson, who is not the type of girl that young men necessarily go after. But in 1940, she finds romance with the same soldier she had known casually at Camp Zachary Taylor in Louisville in 1918..
