New York: Henry Holt and Company, 1928. Limited 1000 signed copies. Hardcover. VG+ with a tiny nick in the cloth on the front hinge near the top of the spine, about the size of Jefferson's chin on a nickle. 1.2 green cloth with gilt letter title and maple-leaf patterned paper-covered boards, Top Edge Gilt. viii, 58 pp. with 4 signed prints by J.J. Lankes including frontis. A delightful copy lacking the cardboard slipcase and glassine jacket. Crane: "Though printed in the same year as the first [trade] edition by the same publisher, this edition is in an entirely different setting and format with different pagination." Illustrated with a frontispiece and three woodcuts by J. J. Lankes, each plate signed in pencil on the lower right edge of the plate. Printed by D.B. Updike's Merrymount Press in different type and format from the trade issue.
