New York: Henry Holt and Company, (1928). First Edition. Hardcover. The scarce original glassine has a couple of small chips but is in very nice condition. Fine, bright copy in the original glassine and a Near Fine slipcase with a little professional mending. J. J. Lankes. Cloth-backed boards decorated with a pattern of maple leaves. Crane A10.1: "Though printed in the same year as the first [trade] edition by the same publisher, this edition is in an entirely different setting and format with different pagination." Illustrated with a frontispiece and three woodcuts by J. J. Lankes, each plate SIGNED by the artist in pencil. Copy #59 of 1000 SIGNED by the author on the limitation page. Contains the title poem, "Spring Pools," and "Acquainted With the Night," among others.
