About This Item
London: Heinemann. London, Heinemann, 1953. First edition, first impression. Hardback. A very good copy. A nice little collection comprising [1] An inscribed first edition. A nice book. The jacket has a 35mm tear to the top edge and some wear to the corners, spine tips are a little tired too. It is, however, signed by Val Biro who designed the jacket. [2] A study for the jacket by Vale Biro. 260mm x 190mm. It's nice to see a note on the painting highlighting what needed to be changed on the painting; things which seem to have been resolved for the final design. Some folding to the painting and a little foxing. [3] Proof copy of the same. Foxed on the wraps, slight lean with some spine creasing and a little wear to the corners. [10656, Hyraxia Books]. . Very Good. Hardback. 1st Edition. 1953.
