58pp. + 2pp advertisements. Good+ condition with occasional marks to prelims (and ink hand-correction to publisher's advertising leaf). The acetate front wrapper very thin and with repair to two edges. Back wrapper not preserved. SIGNED by the author on the half title in ink and with message. The named recipient Richard Phené Spiers FSA, FRIBA then presents the book to A.E Haywood, and himself signs. A further ink note on the original 'acetate' wrapper by the author. A 'Social Satire'. e.g. 'The Boy Thought bankers were great philanthropists'; The Boy thought that on the whole he preferred dirty to clean hands', etc. on a variety of subjects.

James Stanley Little (1856–1940); author and editor. Lectured in London and the provinces on South Africa and Imperial Federation.
