Chatto & Windus, 1931. Book. Good. Hardcover. Inscribed by Author(s). 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Apparent First Edition, Presentation copy. Autographed inscription in book front on blank page. Neatly signed by Julian Huxley - November 1931. This is the original 1931 book - not a modern reprint or facsimile. Dark-green boards with gilt lettering (clean - shows mild wear). 271 pages. Other than the autographed inscription, no other writing inside book. Tight spine, clean pages. Pages show tanning - no foxing. A small part of the upper corner of page 177 has been tape-repaired (blank area). No other tears inside book. This book includes the Henry LaBarre Jayne Foundation Lectures (Philadelphia) for 1931. At the time of this printing, Huxley was Honorary Lecturer In Experimental Zoology, King's College, London. Previous owner's name stamp in book front (G.D. Berg). .
