New York: Oxford University Press, 1951. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. First edition. Blue cloth boards with silver lettering on spine and front cover. Tail of spine bumped; corners show light wear. Illustrated endpapers. Interior is clean and unmarked. 41 pages. 10 x 8 inches. Dust jacket shows light wear at corners and has a few short closed tears; not price clipped ($2.50); in an archival mylar sleeve. A nice example of early work by the German-American illustrator and author of children's books, Jan Balet (1913-2009).
