Reviews
Since reading this book, I have also read others by Dr. Sams, and was so happy to have "discovered" him in my local library. Southern writers rarely disappoint----and his Southern sly wit, charm and wonderful storytelling made me wish his output had been even larger. I both laughed out loud and inwardly smiled and nodded in agreement with his subtle comments on the idiosyncrasies of human nature in his world. I wanted to visit that world and know those people in person ----but, since that is impossible----I experienced the next best thing----I felt I had been introduced to them and knew them by the time I had finished the book. A marvelous, satisfying, delicious read.
