About This Item
London: Michael Joseph, 1960. First edition, first printing. Published by Michael Joseph in London, 1960. This is a very good copy. The Broom Lynne dust wrapper is bright but with some mild wear to the top and bottom edges, which extends to the spine tips (internal repair). It has not been price clipped and shows the 12s 6d net price. The boards, though slightly faded, are free from notable chips and marks. The text blocks are slightly toned but free from mentionable foxing. This copy is free from previous owners ink and is, overall, in very good condition. The third in the series began by the 1958 novel The Darling Buds of May focusing on the Larkins, a family living in rural Kent. The title is a reference to William Blake's poem Laughing Song.
