About This Item
New York: G P Putnam's Sons, 1946. Hardcover. Near Fine. [vi] pp244 A biography of President Franklin D Roosevelt by his doctor, confidant and friend Ross T McIntire who was Surgeon General of the Navy. Near fine in blue cloth, in a very good dust jacket, rubbed to edges and a tiny hole to lower panel. Laid in: a letter [1tls] from the author to Frederick Adams thanking him for a Christmas gift. This book comes from the Franklin Delano Roosevelt collection of Frederick Baldwin Adams Jr, 1910 - 2001, the son of Ellen Walters Delano who was a first cousin to President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Adams became a passionate bibliophile who served as director of the Pierpont Morgan Library in New York City for two decades and compiled a significant personal collection relating to F.D.R..
