Thick, heavy 8vo. in dark blue cloth backed boards, gilt lettering to spine, matching boards and end-papers, 445pp. Inscribed and signed by Frank Herbert on the title-page and with the recipients' barely noticeable small blind embossed name stamp to front blank fly-leaf (no other marks or inscriptions) __CONDITION : An extremely well preserved almost AS NEW very clean and tight unmarked copy (merest hint of tanning to leaves) in an AS NEW complete Dust Jacket. Synopsis
Frank Herbert was born in Tacoma, Washington, and educated at the University of Washington, Seattle. He worked a wide variety of jobs--including TV cameraman, radio commentator, oyster diver, jungle survival instructor, lay analyst, creative writing teacher, reporter and editor of several West Coast newspapers--before becoming a full-time writer. He died in 1986.
