About This Item

Secker & Warburg, London, 1964. First Edition. Hardcover. Good Condition/Very Good. preface by author. At the beginning of the text is a map showing the route and environs that President John F. Kennedy took in a Dallas in 1964. Black coloured boards with silver coloured titles to the back strip. Plaintext dustwrapper with black coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. Black-and-white photograph of author to the front fold over panel. A very early Exposé on the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in Dallas in 1964. The author claims that "... a vital clue to Kennedy's murder, Buchanan claims, is to be found in previous attempts against American presidents from Lincoln onwards. Though in each case it was first thought that this fashion was a lone wolf and in near madmen, history has proved the contrary. This clue he applies to the assassination of President Kennedy on November 22 in Dallas. Is brilliant and detailed analysis would seem utterly to destroy the version apparently accepted by the FBI and the Dallas authority. Lee Oswald did not fire the fatal shot; there was a second assassin; Ruby was not an innocent onlooker; and at least eight persons were actively concerned in the plot." -- from rear panel blurb. Softening of the back strip edges with rubbing of the book corners and lower book edges. Some white marks to the book panels – please see photograph. Age toning to the text block edges and pages with some staining to the lower text edge. Rubbing of the dustwrapper edges and panels and there is a small, 0.25 ", tear to the top right hand corner of the front panel. Sunning of the spine and rear panel along with some stains and rubs. Marks to the fold over panels along with some sunning and a little sunning of the verso. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. [6], 192 pages,. Please refer to accompanying picture (s).
