Antwerp: Theodor & Jan Galle, 1597. Engraving on cream laid paper, 4 3/4 x 7 5/16 inches (120 x 185 mm), thread margins. Non archival tape at top right and left corners, verso, attached to mount. Small tear in the bottom-center sheet edge, appx 1/8 inch, scattered repairs, primarily at corners and sheet edges. Scattered staining. All consistent with age. First state (of 2), with the publisher's address of Adriaen Collaert, (before the addition of publishers Theodor and Jan Galle's address), with a Fish and Serpent watermark.
