Angus & Robertson, Sydney, 1948. Reprint. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Fair Condition/No Dust Jacket. Illustrator: Ralph Warner. Acknowledgements, introduction by author and bibliography. Endpaper maps, showing where the various bushrangers operated in New South Wales. The text is illustrated with black-and-white drawings by Ralph Warner. Rust coloured cloth covered boards with gilt coloured titles to the back strip. The wild men of the Lachlan, the Murrumbidgee and the Abercrombie Ranges in the lawless 1860's of Australia's history. The book is showing age and wear  please see photograph. Softening, rubbing and fraying of the cloth to the back strip; bumping, rubbing and fraying of the book corners. The cloth of the lower edge of the front panel has also afraid to the lower left hand corner and along the spine gutter edges the cloth has also started to fray. Quite a nasty stain  encompassing three quarters of the front panel  has occurred and there are rubs marks and stains to the rear panel. Flecking and fading to the back strip. The front hinge has slackened a bit and tanning of the text block edges and pages has also occurred. Some marks throughout the book. Previous owners initials to the top edge to the verso of the free front end page and to the title page. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. [7], VIII - XXI, [2], 2 - 657, [1] pages,.
