Flexible brown leather cover, uniform edition, no publication date stated, c 1930. Very clean and unmarked, gilt sharp and bright on spine and front. Spine head is frayed and corners and spine heel are rubbed. Tight and solid sewn binding, all pages intact. Pages quite clean, text clean and unmarked, toned, more so on edges. Pages edges tanned, clean. Henrik Ibsen (1828-1906), Norwegian poet and playwright, is the unquestioned creator of the modern social drama of ideas. His ceaseless attacks on outworn institutions and on hypocrisy brought storms of criticism.
