A smart first edition set of this illustrate guide to wild flowers over the course of the year. Complete in two volumes. First edition. Volume one is illustrated with six colour plates and one hundred and sixty-six images reproduced from original photographs. Volume two is illustrated with six colour plates and one hundred and seventy-six images reproduced from original photographs. Collated complete. A detailed study on the growth of wild flowers across the year with reference to each individual monthly cycle. Volume one covers the period from March to June, with volume two covering Written by Edward Step, a British author of many popular and specialist books on subjects including botany, zoology and mycology. Illustrated by Thomas Baddeley, a British illustrator and photographer. In the original full green cloth binding with gilt and a photographic inset. Externally, very smart with minor rubbing to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light scattered spotting predominantly to the first and last few pages. Minor age toning to the endpapers. Very Good Indeed
