Rankin Fort Atkinson Wisconsin Sept. 14, 1928"; with a black and white portrait frontispiece of William Dempster Hoard (1836-1918) 16th Governor of Wisconsin from 1889 to 1891 and of great influence on the dairy industry, via his weekly "Hoard's Dairyman."; with other illustrations & with biographical material regarding Hoard's early life, influences, Civil War record, agricultural & political career, more; bound in the publisher's original black patterned-finish cloth, gilt cover medallion portrait of Hoard, gilt title panels on cover and spine, marbled endpapers; some light wear to binding, some spottiness to first leaves, back endpaper with a tear-rub at hinge; in very good condition..
