Wonderful book. Details of everyday life and care taken in weaving political, psychological and place descriptions threads into the context of a forward moving story create a vivid and realistic recounting of the forces and realities that shaped William the Silent and his life story. It is amazing how these families of Spain, England, France and the Holy Roman Empire played out their lives and political fates during this time of incredible change.I am enjoying reading this quality book by a very gifted author and hope to read more of her books as time permits.
