About This Item
Yale University Library, 1952. Softcover. Very Good. Reprint of the 1948 privately printed edition (which was limited to 100 copies). Illustrated with 14 reproductions (mostly title-pages of western rarities) including a frontispiece portrait of Coe. Henry Wagner (of Wagner/Camp) described the Coe collection as the finest collection of western material in existence, and the finest undoubtedly that will ever be formed. In this work, Edward Eberstadt, bookseller to Coe and intimately familiar with the collection, discusses over 500 of the most important items. Strong on the northwest quarter of the U. S., with a 14 page chapter on Mormons. Fully indexed. Bound in the original brown wraps.
