Boston: David R. Godine, 2007. Book. As New. Hardcover. Signed by Author(s). First Edition.. This is the very rare limited edition nuimbered #120 of 200 printed pre-trade book that was signed by Norman, Segal and Llewellyn Howland. Front endpapers from the Edgartown Yacht club and rear depict Quick's Hole in Buzzard's bay. Importantly included is a B&W print of the yacht "Java" taken by Norman in 1948 and validated for the book by the Whaling Museum, listing the negative from Norman's collection. The Print is laid in loosely in a protective envelope at the rear. Very Scarce in this limited format. From The Old Dartmouth Historical Society. Norman Fortier's work was also seen many years ago in the book The Bay and the Sound which was written with John Parkinson. His B&W photos of coastal Massachusetts and sailing vessels especially Concordia is renown. Fortier was a US Navy photographer in WWII. He had a studio in Padanaram, MA from 1948 until his recent death. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
