Red Glass The book is in great shape though it does have some shelf wear, including slight fraying at corners. The boards are blue with darker blue illustrations and red lettering. The spine is tan. The top of the spine is torn. Midway on the spine, just above the illustration of the toad, there is a small puncture. Block has a red stamp on it. The front and back liner pages are illustrated in red ink with the maps for the world of "The Wind in the Willows." Additional photo's available on request. This is a delightful odyssey, with 12 different chapters, that is just as engaging for adults as it is for children. It's one that people love to read and re-read.Welcome to the world of Mole, Toad, and Rat. This edition has clever illustrations by E.H.Shepard.
