Signed by Steinbeck in felt marker to the ffep. Purchased at auction of items from Steinbeck's sister. Faint foxing to top edge of cloth, spine head slightly pushed, endpages slightly toned. Else tight and square. The DJ in mylar is slightly foxed, rubbed to points. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; Signed by Author .
Synopsis
The Winter of Our Discontent published in 1961, is John Steinbeck's last novel. The title is a reference to the line "Now is the winter of our discontent made glorious summer by this son [or sun] of York," from William Shakespeare's Richard III.
