Thomas Hardy (1840-1928) was an English novelist and poet. He is perhaps best remembered for two of his novels, Tess of the d'Urbervilles and Far from the Madding Crowd. This volume was published posthumously and contains several autobiographical poems, concluding with "He Resolves to Say No More.".
