About This Item
First Edition, Later Printing (likely c.1937-38). Wishing Horse is the last Oz title that was issued with color plates. (Bienvenue & Schmidt p. 117). A terrific copy. First issue dust jacket. This is a rare copy that has all first edition points but does NOT include color plates. In publisher's original cloth, with color pictorial image matching the dj cover pasted down to front board. Titles and decoration to spine in burnt orange. Blank endpapers (as issued). Internally fine. Ends of spine and corners very lightly bumped. Very good plus dust jacket with wear to the extremities and a bit of chipping to along the edges and ends of the spine; rear dj cover a bit created at top edge. Octavo. 298 pp. Overall, a lovely copy.
